  1. Simon Perele bras are very expensive, but to me the fit is so worth it. I love them dearly even though I have to save my pennies for them. I had the same problem you do now, but the key to finding the perfect bra is finding a professional to appropriately measure you. Then take time to try on bras until you are in love with the fit. I wish you the best! When I have a good bra, though, clothes look and feel much better on me. That’s my experience anyway.

  2. Girl!! I know what you mean. and sadly No you are not alone. I used to be a very cute B cup, then after my kids I went to D cups. It’s such a problem finding a good bra .Not only that but the shirts are driving me crazy! I can’t find a shirt to fit well to save my life these days.I wish I could help you but I’m still in the mist myself.

  3. *Sigh* No, Ma’am, you’re not the only one (RE: Barely there):(

  4. Good luck with your search. I don’t have much advice because I too am still on a quest to find the perfect fitting bra. I have never been a member of the barely there club. I think I was wearing the wrong darn size before having my daughter, and was definitely wearing the wrong size after. You should of seen my eyes when the woman who measured me in Fredrick’s told me that I was a DD, lol, and a 34DD at that, so there was going to be any bargain shopping for me, at least not any EASY bargain shopping. I spent some bucks investing at Fredrick’s last year around this time and now I need NEW BRAS! Grrr…

I would say that first step is to go ahead and get fitted. Knowing your true size (whatever it might be in the moment) is key to finding something that will have a nice fit right now. Since you like Vicki’s, I’d say stop in one day and have them fit you, and then you can take that knowledge elsewhere if you don’t wanna shell out the big bucks. Walmart might be one place to look for variety and affordability.

  5. I was a B cup before I had kids. I was pretty into my breasts in those days and was able to wear the frilly, sexy, sheer bras. After baby No. 1, I had to get rid of those things. They don’t support at all. Plus, I’m trying to stay away from sagging (as much as possible). I got fitted at VS after the last baby (I waited almost a year so I wouldn’t bounce around in sizing) and they put me at a 34C. Tried it on and it was so tight I could barely breathe. So I tried a 34D, which fit me perfectly. So I’ve been wearing that size (quite happily) ever since. I like VS’s Very Sexy line for a couple of reasons: 1. Double straps, which help support and do not cut into your shoulders. 2. Shaped cups which may cause you to look a little bigger than you are, but they also make the ‘girls’ look sexy as hell. 3. I find that line very comfortable. I’ve tried VS Body…not bad, but not enough support for me. I don’t like the IPEX line at all. Also, buy a bra bag for washing. They help a lot in terms of extending the life of your bra. Hope that helps some. Good Luck.

  6. Ha! Man, it’s over for me. I’ve been in search for the perfect bra for years. Before I had my first child, I was able to go braless! Good luck. Hopefully you’ll be able to let me know where to get the perfect bra. I can tell you it aint Motherhood!

@ Arlice – Oh the days to go braless are long gone now sadly. I remember those days well!

  8. I don’t have any advice because I lost everything I had after I finished breastfeeding my third baby. And I am sooo jealous of those of you who got bigger after kids! I can get away with cheap $10 bras from Wal-mart because I don’t need the support.:)

  9. tmpringl says:

@Kaye – Me too! Was a nice petite, perky B cup, had the babies and now I’m the proud owner for D cup boobies. Who would’ve thought I’d KILL to get back to my smaller chest? I did get fitted at VS after the last baby, but like you said, it was too small. So I’ll have to just put more effort into it. *sigh*

  10. tmpringl says:

@Ms. Bar B – I don’t understand why bras have to be so expensive. I mean, yes, the $60 VS bras work wonders, but they all “give out” on you eventually. Why can’t I just find a cute, supportive $30 that will last forever? The search continues….

  11. tmpringl says:

@Lashun – Oh, don’t get me started on shirts! I just have a problem with how fit clothes in general. Pants are too tight around the thighs, shirts too tight around the bust, etc. This new mommy body has got me all flustered at the mall!

@Ashley – Hmmm, Simon Perele bras…I’ll have to look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!
