I started this blog in 2008.
It was basically a place for me to air my frustrations of being a young mom with few young mom friends, and send signals to anyone who’d listen that I’m here and IS ANYONE ELSE OUT HERE?
Two years later and I don’t feel so alone. I feel like I’m actually part of a community, part of a movement. I have met so many wonderful people here, people who have the same fears, goals, dreams as me. It’s just really, really cool.
So in honor of my two-year blog anniversary, I want to give this blog a redesign. When it’s done, oh boy, you’ll be so happy. Because you’ll be able to see more posts at once, there will be a space for you to chit-chat among yourselves, and your comments will be one of the centerpieces of the site. (You guys DO know I just write posts so I can read your comments, right?)
This blog is no longer just about me (well, it never really has been about me) but about US. If there’s anything I can’t stress enough, it’s that being a young mom requires intense support. You guys have been that for me, and I hope I’ve been that for you.
Is there anything you want to see on the new site? More photos? More videos? A dedicated space for a “Young Mom of the Week”? A submission box where you can ask your questions and get them answered by other moms? Let me know!
Looking forward to the redesign, Ma! Growth is good!
I can’t wait to see your new look and all you have to offer. I almost feel like an outcast being a not so young mommy 😉 I would love to see more photos!
@Sheliza – But you ARE a young mom, aren’t you? You had your first kid before 25, right? You qualify! (And you’re still young to me, anyway.) One thing I’m trying to do with the redesign is get more “older” young moms on board to help out the young’uns.
I can’t wait to see the new blog redesign!!!!! I love blog makeovers. I think everything else you do on here is perfect – wouldnt change a thing. 😉
I can’t wait to see all the new things you do with the blog. I actually think it’s already amazing and I have told 2 friends about it. It’s wonderful to know that I am not the only person going through something at a particular time. Rock on!
soooooooooooo, i would love more pics…and even tho im not a “young” mommy, i loved your spotlight feature. keep it up!
