I took the plunge recently and purchased life insurance for everyone in my family. We met with my State Farm agent (it really is just like the commercials) and she helped us figure out how much coverage we need for everyone. We got our insurance physicals (really just a blood draw and urine sample) and with the results they said we were good to go! For about $100 a month, all of us are covered in case something were to happen.

But that’s kind of heavy, right? I mean, it’s the holidays and we’re trying to lift our spirits after the Newtown tragedy. Talking about death is opposite of the mood we’re going for.
