I’m a bit late with this post because one of my main goals was getting the new site up and running! Now that it’s checked off my list (see my announcement here) I can focus a bit on other projects!
Let’s see how I did in December:
- Finish the second article for my thesis (yes, my advisor wants me to write 2 articles. Every other grad student only writes one. Gah!) Nope, haven’t even started.
Create 2013 strategies for my social media clients.Done!Find 1 new sponsor for YML, a company that can work with me on my passion of helping young moms finish school.Done!Spend the last week of the month RELAXING. This might actually be the hardest item on the list.Done!Write down my personal goals for 2013. What kind of woman do I want to be once 2014 rolls around? I might make a vision board if I get some inspiration.I made a vision board but still need to write a post about it. Here’s a sneak peek.Do one “crafty” project for our bedroom. It is, as it always is, a mess in our bedroom. I’m hoping once I’m done with school and I’m not just plopping into bed each night, that I can make it more of a sanctuary. I’ve got my idea on this semi-inexpensive project I saw on Pinterest.I did attempt that project and while it didn’t come out like I thought it would, it’s decent enough that I might post on it later.
Overall, I didn’t do too bad! That darned thesis article is going to be the death of me next week. Ugh. Moving on…
Here are my goals for January:
- Get my daughter to the allergist to see what foods she might be allergic to. *sigh*
- Write two chapters of my next book.
- Set up a new budget for 2013.
- Conduct the first “Blog Write Now” webinar of 2013.
- Purchase a desk for my office.
I’m trying not to stress myself out these days, so I think this list is pretty doable. The allergist appointment is already set, I’ve putting the finishing touches on the webinar…yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and call January a success already.
What are some of your goals for the month? Share them in the comments below!
1) Start getting more content up on my blog
2)Start creating lesson plans for Amani to get her ready for 1st grade in Sept.
3)Set up some type of budget
4) Start paying back school.
5)Get Amani’s heartand brain checked. Since my mom had a heart attack and my brother had a seizure,I need to make sure Amani is physically ok.
I was happy to find that the goal was limited to a month, and I want to keep myself motivated by making my goal SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time sensitive.)
My two goals for the remainder of this month are:
1. Run/walk one mile 4 days a week.
2. Cleanse my diet and body with an intake of at least two servings each of fruits and veggies a day.
I think I can handle that 😉
