I Approve This Message: Bedsider Makes Birth Control Unboring

If you’re in the market for some birth control but aren’t sure what to use, where would you turn for advice? Most recently, I went to Bedsider.org… Not only do they break down all the different types of BC and their effectiveness, but they also help you find out where to get it and how much it’s going to cost you.

I had to give Bedsider two snaps and a twist for their new “Guy’s Guide to Birth Control” videos. A handsome guy (called Guy Nottadadi LOL!!) breaking down exactly how birth control works (and why men should care)? You’ve got me right where you want me, Bedsider. Right where you want me.

Watch the other three videos here.

Would you have your son or partner watch these videos?

Comments

  1. Okay first of all, that was totally enjoyable to watch. I would really have my husband watch this, but really, every single guy that I know I would pass this along. It’s important information that both sexes should know. Just because we take the pill, that doesn’t mean that “he” has to remain ignorant on it, or use it as an excuse not to use protection.

  2. Hey “Young Mommy” first of all I love your site I love what your doing. I have a radio show and I have booked several guest on my show after finding them on your site. I love this article and the videos. As mother of 2 children I realize this is the world we live in, and we share in details information with our children about sex, being safe, making right choices….I can’t help but feel like if I encourage our teenagers or others to watch these videos, that I am promoting them engaging in behavior that mentally & emotionally they are not ready for,….it’s the old catch 22….I would love to chat with you more on this matter…I’m gonna need a drink and minimal counseling if I decide to reach out to Bedside for a segment on my show…..I gotta pray about this….”smile”….keep shining…..

    • Hi Trei!

I understand your concerns! Right now my children are young (6 and 5) so I’m not getting into the nitty-gritty of sex just yet. But as someone who had a baby before she was “ready,” I do want to make sure I have those talks with my kids early and often. I don’t look at it as giving them encouragement, but equipping them with the information they need, even if they’re not going to use it yet. :)
