When I grocery shop now, I usually stick to the perimeter of the store—produce, meat, dairy, and bread. I look for items that don’t have a ton of ingredients, or at least ones that I can pronounce. Consequently, I don’t find quick meals for my kids. All the ones I find in the stores are filled with sodium, weird ingredients or way too much fat. To top it off, they’re usually just bland!
The good people from KidFresh have come out with a line of all-natural kids meals that can help you out in a pinch. When they contacted me and asked if I was interested in reviewing the product, I eagerly said yes. They offered six different kids meals—Totally Twisted Pasta and Meatballs, Rainbow Rice and Chicken, Easy Cheesy Ravioli, Spaghetti Loops Bolognese, Muy Cheesy Quesadillas, and Wagon Wheels Mac and Cheese—and all have simple ingredients I can pronounce. Check out the list for the Spaghetti Bolognese:
Pasta (durum wheat semolina), Tomatoes (Tomatoes, Citric Acid), Beef, Water, Onions, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Celery, Evaporated Cane Syrup, Canola Oil, Sea Salt, Corn Starch, Spice.
I can live with that! The rest of the products are just as simple. Unfortunately, they haven’t yet expanded to my area, but I know it’s just around the corner. In the meantime, I have four coupons to give away to TWO lucky readers! Each coupon is redeemable for a free kids meal and expires on July 31, 2013.
The contest ends this Friday, October 5. Be sure to check the KidFresh store locator before you enter to make sure they have it in your area! Good luck!
